As conversations about neurodiversity gain momentum, many organisations are finding themselves in unfamiliar territory. They know it matters. They want to do better. But where do you actually start?
Neurodiversity is a rapidly evolving area, full of complex language, individualised experiences, and, at times, conflicting information. For professionals just starting their journey, this can be overwhelming. This is supported by a recent ACAS study (2024), which revealed that almost half of the organisations surveyed lacked organisational knowledge about neurodiversity.
Terms like “executive functioning,” “masking,” or “needs-led support” are becoming more common in workplace discussions, but without a solid foundation, they can feel like jargon. And while neurodivergent people make up a significant portion of the population, many still go unsupported due to a lack of shared understanding about what their lived experiences actually involve.
At Creased Puddle, we regularly work with organisations who tell us: “We want to be inclusive, but we just don’t know enough yet.” That’s exactly why we created this webinar.
Laying the groundwork for inclusion
As part of our Neurodiversity Summer Camp, this one-hour webinar is designed to provide a clear, practical foundation for anyone new to the world of neurodiversity, whether you’re in HR, a team lead, or simply someone who wants to learn more. It’s not about memorising diagnostic criteria; it’s about developing an understanding of the real-world experiences of neurodivergent people and what inclusive support can look like in everyday working life.
We will explore:
- Key neurodivergent differences and terminology
- The role of executive functioning and how it affects day-to-day tasks
- How environments, social settings, or even simple workplace interactions can become overwhelming
- Why a “needs-led” approach can be more effective than focusing solely on diagnosis
- Tools and conversations that make inclusion real, not just aspirational
Getting the basics right, matters
Inclusion doesn’t start with policies or performance frameworks, it starts with understanding. When teams feel confident in the basics, they’re more equipped to spot where support is needed, adapt effectively, and avoid missteps that may unintentionally exclude.
This webinar offers exactly that: a strong starting point, delivered in a clear, accessible way.
Take your first step towards neuro-inclusion
Designed to be practical, affordable, and relevant for public sector teams, SMEs, and professionals across all sectors, join us as we go back to basics! If you’re also responsible for performance management or workplace adjustments, we recommend pairing this webinar with our Line Manager Awareness or Reasonable Adjustments sessions for a deeper dive into implementation.
Let’s make neuroinclusion something everyone feels confident talking about and acting on.
