Since 2017 Creased Puddle have been conducting Workplace Needs Assessments across public, private and third sector organisations, providing workable solutions to support individuals in the workplace. In summer 2024, we decided to see if we could package this expertise into a solution for organisations so they could grow their own ‘in house’ resource. 8 months later we have received our accreditation and will be delivering this fully accredited Level 4 Neurodiversity Workplace Needs Assessment Training Course throughout 2025.   

Benefits to the organisation: 

• Reduces cost of depending on external suppliers providing Workplace Needs Assessments. 
• Assessors often have prior knowledge of individuals role which expedites the process and makes accommodations more relevant and applicable. 
• Assessors can suggest solutions which are compatible with their organisations IT infrastructure, which helps to manage the expectations of the individual. 
• Assessors can monitor progress, review accommodations, and suggest alternatives. 
• Professionally trained and accredited assessors reduce the risk of successful litigation through employment tribunals.  

The core content of the course remains the same; however, to ensure we meet the needs of all delegates, the police-specific version includes bespoke content tailored to their role and organisation.

This course has been created for professionals who: 

• Have a current L4 (or higher) Workplace Needs Assessment qualification and want to increase their knowledge. 
• Coaches working in a professional capacity supporting people in the workplace 
• Professionals working in organisations in a supervisory or supportive role e.g. Specialist Points of Contact or Neurodiversity Advisors / Ambassadors
• Occupational Health Professionals  
• General Workplace Needs Assessors

Well, this is where it really gets exciting. Your course will be delivered by leading professionals from the neurodiversity space including the team here at Creased Puddle. All lead trainers are fully qualified Level 3 (or higher) and many are L4 Workplace Needs Assessors.  Speakers and experts come from the ED&I world, National Support Staff Networks, Psychology backgrounds, and the Legal sector. We’d cry if we had to run a boring slide-deck-based course – so the speakers and trainers are brought in to bring the theory alive.

You will be provided with a workbook to work through, together with lesson plans so you know what to expect and built in ‘processing time’ to reflect. The course is built to strike the right balance between theory and practical application.

We expect that you will familiarise yourself with the course content, from your workbook, before you arrive. You will also be provided with further links, videos, and podcasts which will complement your learning throughout the week. 

The workbooks are built in a way which allows you to complete them in a handwritten or digital format, using any assistive technology you normally use.  

The course is built to provide you with information, yes, but also time for discussion and listening, reflection, and self-study ‘quiet time’. We aim to strike the right balance for everyone, and as we learn from the course experience, we will continue to enhance its inclusivity, which will include group work.

During the course you will have face to face access to your trainer for 121’s or to clarify your understanding as you require. Please discuss individual learning preferences prior to your attendance so we can ensure that your expectations are met. 

On the successful completion the full course, you will be provided with your L4 Certificate.
